Skotina – Olympus Riviera

The traditional settlement of Skotina, surrounded by beech and oak forests, lies at an altitude of approximately 500 m above sea level at the foot of Mount Olympus, offering beautiful panoramic views.

About 1 km from Skotina lies the well-maintained holiday complex Erkiades, where the Villa Ilana with pool is located. The villa’s position is ideal for exploring the ancient and cultural sites of the region.

Near the Erkiades complex, in a green and peaceful setting, stands the Olympus Paradise estate with six comfortable holiday homes, each with its own private pool.

Uniquely located directly by the sea are the Kavadias Sea View Apartments on the long sandy beach of Skotina, offering direct beach access and a wide, stunning view over the northern Aegean Sea and Mount Olympus.

The Platamonas Castle, only a few kilometers from the holiday homes and located on the southeastern side of Mount Olympus, was originally built by the Byzantines and later rebuilt by the Franks in the 13th century. Today, it hosts concerts and cultural events.

It is about 25 km to Dion, and only around 2 hours by car to the famous Meteora monasteries, which are well worth a visit.

Numerous nearby beaches offer a wide range of water sports such as parasailing, canoeing, windsurfing, water skiing, and jet skiing. At the church of Agios Ilias in Paleos Panteleimonas, there is a paragliding and hang-gliding site, where flights pass over Platamonas Castle and land along the coast.

A wide selection of shops, tavernas, cafés, beach bars, and restaurants can be found along the coast in Paralia Skotina, Leptokarya, Plaka Litochoro, and Platamonas.
