Situated at Lagouvardos Beach, surrounded by wide olive groves along the southwest coast of Messenia washed by the Ionian Sea, lies the Helichrysum Lofts holiday estate with pool. It is named after the Helichrysum – a wild herb revered since antiquity for symbolizing timeless beauty, inner harmony, and deep well-being. This atmosphere of regeneration and lightness is exactly what the enchanting estate aims to offer its guests – a stylish refuge for tranquility, comfort, and complete relaxation.
Completed in summer 2025 and framed by a lovingly designed garden, the estate consists of six elegantly furnished houses with thoughtful amenities and a spacious pool area. Its gentle architecture blends harmoniously into the coastal landscape of Trifillia. The Lagouvardos Beach, just a five-minute walk away, is the shining highlight of Helichrysum Lofts: a long sandy bay lined with pine trees – ideal for leisurely hours by the water, carefree swimming, and unforgettable holiday moments. When the wind picks up, Lagouvardos becomes a popular spot for surfers and experienced swimmers.
On the enclosed 7,000 sqm garden property, the six houses are arranged with comfortable spacing along the shared pool. The ensemble includes an elegant Family House, two semi-detached houses with a total of four charming Junior units, a small blue house serving as reception, and two additional small detached houses. One of the small houses is occupied by the young owner family during summer.
Two old, tall olive trees provide pleasant shade on the small Platia in front of the reception building – an inviting place for social evenings and warm summer nights. Paved paths lead through the blooming Mediterranean garden to the pool terrace, equipped with six large sunshades, twelve comfortable loungers, and an outdoor shower. The shared pool, approximately 90 sqm in size (10 × 9 m, 1.50 m deep, unheated, open from 28.03.–15.11.), and the children’s pool of about 7 sqm (2.5 × 2.7 m) offer carefree swimming fun for all ages.
In the basement of the blue reception house, guests have access to a utility room with washing machine, iron, ironing board, and vacuum cleaner. A gas barbecue, bicycles, and mountain bikes are available on request.
At the right end of the row of houses – set slightly apart from the pool and close to the reception and the owners’ house – lies the Junior single house in a quiet, detached location. This comfortable two-storey holiday home impresses with its bright, welcoming interior and offers generous space and modern comfort. Soft pastel tones, selected woods, and contemporary, clean-lined furnishings create a harmonious and inviting atmosphere.
On the ground floor, guests are welcomed by an inviting living area: the stylishly furnished living room flows seamlessly into the dining area with adjoining open kitchen. The sofa in the living room (0.90 × 1.80 m) provides an additional sleeping option for a child up to 12 years old. From the living area, guests can step directly onto the terrace, which offers a lovely view of the garden. Adjacent to the living room is an open sleeping area, functioning as a passage room, with a 1.20 m wide single bed. A barrier-free bathroom completes this floor’s layout.
A staircase from the passage room leads to the upper floor. Here, under a charming sloping ceiling (2.20–1.48 m), the second open bedroom is located. Two single beds are available and can be converted into a double bed if desired.
The covered terrace in front of the house provides pleasant shade. Two comfortable armchairs and a sofa create a welcoming space for relaxation.
For children up to 12 years old, an airbed is available free of charge upon request.
The southwestern coast of Messenia offers numerous sandy beaches with crystal-clear water – ranging from long sandy stretches to small secluded coves. The nearby beaches are among the most beautiful in the region. Lagouvardos Beach, close to the estate, is a wide sandy beach surrounded by pine trees and an impressive mountain backdrop – ideal for swimming, surfing, canoeing, snorkeling, or fishing. Other beaches within a 20 km radius include Voidokilia with its semicircular bay, Goldcost (Mati) with fine sand, and the picturesque coves of Barlas, Vromoneri, Petrochori, and Romanos.
